Manuskript website translation
Exploring your website, i can see that it's missing a french translation. This is a huge loss, as tre app itself is fully translated for many languages ! How would you go about sending the word about Manuskript if al official documentation on it is in english ?
Please make the website translatable through Weblate, as is the app.
I strongly believe this would greatly help spread Manuskript around and bring in potential new contributions ! A well translated app reaches many more potential users and ensures the long-term maintenance of its features, as it will also reach code contributors from all around the globe ! 🤞
Maybe also make the wiki translatable vhile you're at it :) this will help people troubleshoot their problems by themselves and reduce the load on thit repo's issues
I think translating all of these via Weblate won't be as easy. First I don't have full access to the web server to easily manage data to make everything translatable. Second problem is that Weblate only allows one repository for free when using it for free software and it's not like I have continuous income for that.
Maybe there can be another solution though in the future. I'll definitely leave this issue here open because the idea is good, just unpractical for me to solve at the moment.
While translating for various projects i did encounter other solutions, for example, lightweight homebrewed tools like the ones created by the respective devs of opensource apps Snappymail and Palcka Tarock. Mayée these will help !
Also, you don't need to have separate repositories on Weblate for the website and the app: they can be included as different "components" that will appear as their own separate source of strings in your project.
