Index card view issues

In dark mode, if 'old style' is selected in the index card view settings, the summary text is white and not visible. Interestingly, when I drag a card, in the instance I'm dragging it becomes dark.

Also, the index background colour/image settings don't seem to do anything. Only black/white background appears behind the index cards, depending on which mode is on.
