BORIS closes automatically when I click on video
Hi! I have been using BORIS for a while now. I have been experiencing frequent crashes, but when I restart the program it is often (temporally) fixed. However, recently a new issue emerged, which prevents me from using the program. When I start a new observation and click on the video (to zoom in), BORIS closes automatically. The problem is not fixed when I reopen the program. Is there a way that this issue can be fixed?
In other messages I read that I should upload the error log, but I cannot write the code in the script.

what version of BORIS are you using? I do not understand what you mean by "write the code in the script" If you are using the current BORIS version (7.10.2) and you are not able to copy the content of the boris_error.log you can send a screenshot of the file content. Olivier

I am using the current BORIS version (7.10.2) for Windows. The program shuts down when I click on the video frame to focus on a video area.

The problem only occured until recently. Before, I was able to zoom in on a specific area of the videos.

I have redownloaded the programme, but I still have the same issue as before.
I've included the error log again
I made a new project and then I was able to zoom in again, yay! However, the program froze and shut down due to another bug (I was unable to go back and the screen froze while the audio kept playing). Since this error, I am unable to zoom in on the video again.
This bug should be fixed in the v. 7.10.3 Please let me know and eventually close this issue

I downloaded the newest version. When I click on the video I get a warning that 'the focus video area is not available because the video resolution is not available'. It suggests that I should re-encode the video. I tried to do this, but I still encountered the same issue after re-coding it (with default settings). Do you know how to correctly re-encode the video, so that I can focus on the video? What are the requirements for the video resolution?

Why do you have to click on the video? If the resolution is not available you cannot zoom it
