How can I create groups on Mac?

It seems the extension just lets me add individual favorites on MacOS. If I right-click a favorite-group, I'm getting this:

If I try to edit something I'm getting:

Error running command favorites.rename_list: Cannot read property 'endsWith' of null. This is likely caused by the extension that contributes favorites.rename_list.

Sorry, I don't have muc handy so I am limited with investigating it.. Do I understand correctly that the same operation on Win/Linux works ok?

And one extra question. What exactly do you mean "If I try to edit something"? You open the context menu. Great. What did you do next?
