Text widget does not work

How can this bug be reproduced?

Add a TEXT widget to the footer widgets area... or sidebar widgets area

What did you expect to happen? For me to be able to use a text widget with standard text...

What happened instead? When you click save, the content entered disappears and no information is saved.

I've had the same problem with the text widget.

I added another widget & then both appeared.

Delete the text widget & the other widget remains, but again, I cannot re-add the text widget,
