This example is 3 years old and uses angular 6. Is there a more updated version compatible with angular 10+? I cannot get this version to build due to numerous errors and deprecations.

If you're looking for the quickest way to get started with Okta and Angular, Use the Okta CLI to Quickly Build Secure Angular Apps is your best bet.

Otherwise, I just updated Build Secure Login for Your Angular App to use Angular 11.
