Koala 2.3.0 on Debian not working

Koala 2.3.0 (64 Bit Debian)

Bug report

Downloaded and installed Koala using the default installer (Eddy) on Linux Pop!_OS. Installed fine without any errors and I opened the app. I can see the app starting in the 'activities' top bar and then it just closes after a few seconds. The app just will not open.

Removed the package with Eddy and tried to install again.

No luck! Any advice folks?

same problem ... not working in ubuntu 19.10 and linux mint 19.3 also

also not working in Zorin OS 15.1, of course all these are based on ubuntu (.deb). so looks like not working on any ubuntu/debian based distros. apart from .deb download file there is another download for linux, is it possible to make it work on these ubuntu based distros? if so please share how to install/use that linux download option. TIA :)

working for me on zorin os 15.1 after installing/running this command in terminal, so probably this will work on any other ubuntu based distro :) sudo apt -y install libgconf2-4
