Migrate the site to a modern version of Node.js

As stated in the README, the site uses Node.js ≥ 0.8, which is really ancient. That makes it incompatible with any other module we might want to update (e.g. Recline -> Portal.js). So the website application should really be ported to a recent and supported version of Node.js.
