Collect info on portal metadata and data availability and quality

e.g.

• No of datasets
• Formats / type of datasets
• Summary information from analysing metadata for each dataset in the portal (e.g. we'd know what fields there are for datasets and how often they are filled out etc => a crude indicator of what info is available and its quality)

Motivation: you want to know something about this data portal -- is it small or large, is it actively maintained (or in retirement), does it have rich information about dataset or not etc.

Extra work would involve much more detailed checking: e.g. take a random sample of datasets and check whether there data is there or if it 404s etc. For a next step you could run the (tabular) data through goodtables.io and see how good it is.
