Possibility to disable NFC platform sound

Is it possible, at the current stage, to disable the default platform sounds? I can see that the library depends on API 19 that allows to disable the sounds in theory: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/nfc/NfcAdapter.html#FLAG_READER_NO_PLATFORM_SOUNDS
