@ohmguru

Thank you for making a Windows App version, but could you make a zip folder version or explain a little more about your exe?

I was previously using a Windows App that someone else named cooperdk created. It was pretty straightforward. It was a zip file. I extracted it into a folder. I put the folder in a location that I wanted. In my case I put it in E: > 003 Adult Games > [Freedom GPT].

When I saw your version, it said "1.1.2.Setup.exe", so I was expecting it to be an installer that would install the same contents as the zip file version I previously used somewhere on my drive. But it doesn't behave like a Setup.exe or an installer. It behaves more like an application exe where you just double click it to launch the app. So this confuses me. I don't know where this "Setup" exe installed the contents.

QUESTION 01: So once again, could you kindly please tell me where the contents are installed, or make a zip folder version? The reason that I ask is because I want to uninstall the other guy's Windows App version (the zip version) and before I do that, I want to know where your version files and folders are located. QUESTION 02: Also, do you plan on updating this Windows App every so often? I hope it won't just be a one time release of 1.1.2 and never see an update again.

@ohmguru - Hello? I know what I wrote might sound long winded, confusing, and overwhelming. But if you could just take a look at what I wrote and answer my two questions, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

EDITED: I formatted the text to make the two questions easier to find and read.

@gaveitatry2 If you are using windows, FreedomGPT will be install its content in these two folders: 1: C:\FreedomGPT 2: C:\Users<your-name>\FreedomGPT

And to answer your second question. Yes, we have plans for updating FreedomGPT. We'll release multiple updates with improvements.

I think that you are wrong. It isn't installed here: C:\FreedomGPT

It is installed here: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\FreedomGPT

@ohmguru

1.) This is not a good place to install a program: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\FreedomGPT

A program should be installed in Programs Files, Program Files (x86), or a custom location. By custom location, I mean the installer exe should prompt the user and ask where they want to install the program. Or the download should have been a zip folder so the user could choose where to place the extracted folder. Installing a program in AppData is just plain weird.

I agree. Two months later and it's still the same issue.

I hope you will make a portable version and make it a zip file where I can unpack the zip into the location I want. The whole .exe installer thing was confusing because it just randomly installed stuff in various folders and I had no idea where. Even if you can't make a fully 100% portable version, I'd still like to use a zip folder to unpack the main program (not the appdata stuff) and place it where I want. I want it on my E; drive in an Adult Games folder.

I'd love this too, because my default C drive has ~20gb free and it wants to download there, while my other drives have over a terabyte free but it refuses to use those drives. There's no point, and it wants to entirely fill my system drive, which would make my computer's performance terrible. Why...
