Addition of a build system generator

I suggest to reuse a higher level build system than your current make script so that powerful checks for software features will become easier.

I was looking at both last night when I started the ssl branch. I haven't determined if either would be worth the changes yet. If you would like to offer a PR for the use of either I would be glad to review and accept the contribution.

• Does a tool like “autoscan” show any software dependencies that you find worth for further considerations?
• How do you think about to support more development environments by the reuse of build system generators?

My initial bias is towards CMake but I haven't spent th time to determine the details of what it would look like yet.
