Question on how interpolation is performed

Hi,

I noticed for an improved runtime you allow sampling and interpolation. As it is stated, the sampling is uniform, random or based on the distribution. However, I could not find about how the interpolation is performed. Could you comment on it? How it is done what do you think could be considered? By the way, great work on the topic!
