Selecting a memento while connected to a non-Internet-connected SSID incurs significant delay

Related to #288

While connected to a wifi network without net connectivity, requesting a memento from 4mementos WARC (e.g.) processed via replay by clicking on link from the main replay interface incurs significant delay before resolving. This might have to do with excessive timeout checking for the daemon's HTTP API.
