It would be nice to have a graph to watch over time (performance as a function of commit).

I think it's pretty important to keep an eye on this. An update would definitely be appreciated - in particular running the exact same benchmark programs as the original publication. I did run js_of_ocaml through the v8 JIT profiler and I saw some deopts taking place that looked suspicious. It seems that it could be possible for OCaml + js_of_ocaml to be faster than handwritten JS, but I am not seeing anything close to that right now. It would be great to figure out how far off we are right now, and then once that is known I can help dive into specific deoptimizations that are happening.
