This vs react-native-background-fetch

I needed to periodically do a fetch request, even if in background. I was thinking of using react-native-background-timer. I was curious though, what would be the tradeoffs between using this package vs react-native-background-fetch. They have background-fetch specifically in their name, so I was thinking if I want to fetch in background, it might need that package?
