Another solution to make frame timings keep updating?

Open hooke007 opened this issue 2 years ago • 7 comments

Unfornately, the stat's page 2's frame timings info seems to be freezing when presenting the image. i.e. No matter you zoom in/out the picture, the scaling algorithm (I set scale=bicubic dscale=mitchell) would never change.

Now I use the stupid action to manually refresh this stats' page via the command cycle-values hwdec yes no or seek 1. Is there a more smart or automatic solution to solve this problem?

Seems to me like stats.lua is not listening to enough signals / observe enough properties to update as often as it should. I would consider this a stats.lua bug.

a stats.lua bug

Unfortunately I got the answer “it is intentional”.

Some elaboration would be useful. It's not the first time that I see this particular user say nonsense.

Well, but he had the authority to close that issue. And a closed issue would be ignored by other devs.

What is the expected behaviour you guys have in mind with regard to updating frame timings, in mean we're talking about the context of image viewing, right?

I don't think you explained the issue well. But you also ignored the issue template, so...

But you also ignored the issue template

No, that's a question not a bug report. And it was not my first time to post the issue, I won't made the such low-level mistake...
