Feature: path remapping for Docker & Tramp

The frontend will have one more option, looking like "path1 : path2". Input paths matching path1 will be rewritten to use path2. Output paths matching path2 will be rewritten to use path1.

Has anything happened for this? I'm forced to use emacs over a high latency connection on a remote server because Merlin doesn't work over TRAMP.

If not, what work is needed for this to happen? Happy to look into implementing it if the idea is sketched out.
