Expected Behavior

Just the standard ability to look at and edit the preview window.

Current Behavior

There is a bizarre floating box in the top left corner, constraining the entire preview within it. image

Steps to Reproduce

No reproduction steps, just my case is running OBS 28.0.1 on the newest Windows update.

Anything else we should know?

I have already tried all of the following troubleshooting checks, nothing has worked.

  • Closed/Reopened OBS
  • Closed OBS, deleted Settings files, reopened and setup again
  • Uninstalled/Reinstalled OBS
  • Updated all AMD drivers
  • Updated all supplemental Windows updates
  • Fiddled with every relevant toggle in OBS, like resize preview, fit to screen, windowed/fullscreen, etc.
  • Removed all docks
  • Tried different themes
  • Tried multiple base/canvas resolutions in settings (preview just gets bound inside the same tiny box)

And note that my audio is still functional, just this graphical bug I cannot find a way to fix.

Are you running any form of display scaling?

Yes, I have to run 300% scaling or every other Windows element becomes microscopic and unusable.

Could you please go into the "compatability" options of OBS (right click your shortcut or obs64.exe -> properties -> compatability), and make sure none of the boxes are checked. I can reproduce your state if I enable enable several overrides, but those really shouldnt be used. image
