Apple Notes import fails to read data from group.com.apple.notes (MacOS 10.13)

Obsidian importer does not seem to recognize any Apple Notes data within the ~/Library/Group Containers/group.com.apple.notes/ folder on MacOS 10.13.6 (High Sierra). I have also tried to import from ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/ with no success. No error messages are received. Just a window stating that 0 notes were imported, skipped, or failed.

Is this because I'm using a (very) old operating system? Thanks for the assist!
