🔖 Feature description
I am a Chinese, and I truly appreciate the plugin you have developed. With its help, I have designed a personal task management system in Obsidian, which would not have been possible without the support of the "tasks" plugin. I am very grateful to you!
Additionally, I have noticed that due to some cultural differences, it is not possible to record lunar calendar dates when creating tasks with the "tasks" plugin. It would be great if the plugin could automatically convert lunar dates to Gregorian dates when creating tasks.
Here are some application scenarios for lunar calendar dates that I can think of, to help the development team better understand cultural differences:
-
Birthday reminders. Most people in China celebrate their birthdays according to the lunar calendar. However, since the current plugin cannot convert lunar dates to Gregorian dates, the need for birthday reminders cannot be met;
-
Holiday arrangements. Most Chinese holidays, such as "Spring Festival," "Lantern Festival," "Dragon Boat Festival," and "Mid-Autumn Festival," are traditional festivals with fixed dates on the lunar calendar, but their corresponding Gregorian dates change every year. Therefore, it is currently very troublesome to arrange tasks around these holidays.
✔️ Solution
- Support for entering lunar calendar dates when creating tasks. This means that the Start, Scheduled, and Due fields should all support input of lunar calendar dates.
- Automatic generation of recurring tasks. Since most lunar calendar use cases are automatically generated annually, this means that when automatically generating recurring tasks, it is also necessary to convert lunar dates to Gregorian dates based on the lunar calendar.
