Markdown use in Collections description

I would like to be able to use markdown in a collections description to better formatting and document styling.

The size of the description could also be larger, so the description is like a introduction page covering what the collection is about.

My request ( https://github.com/observablehq/feedback/issues/368 ) is a dupe of this one so came here to add my support. The description area of a collection could act as a rich visual area with links, images, etc as a sort of splash page for the collection. The image referenced in the markdown could be used as the thumbnail for the collection when it is shared.
