Fix carotid body classification: move from cardiovascular to peripheral nervous system
Summary
This PR fixes the anatomical classification of the carotid body (UBERON:0001629) by changing its system membership from cardiovascular to peripheral nervous system, as requested in issue #3591.
Changes Made:
- Changed
part_ofrelationship fromUBERON:0001530(common carotid artery plus branches) toUBERON:0000010(peripheral nervous system) - Added reference to
PMID:32965908which provides evidence supporting this anatomical classification - Added required metadata including
dcterms-date,term_tracker_itemfor issue tracking, andcreated_byattribution
Rationale:
According to the current definition and evidence from PMID:32965908, the carotid body is "a sensory organ in the peripheral nervous system located in the adventitia of the bifurcation of the common carotid artery". While the structure is anatomically adjacent to the carotid artery bifurcation, it is functionally and developmentally not part of the cardiovascular system - it belongs to the peripheral nervous system as a chemoreceptive sensory organ.
Validation:
- All UBERON IDs verified to exist and are not hallucinated
- Syntax validation passed with robot convert
- Maintains existing
is_arelationship toUBERON:0034979(nonchromaffin paraganglion) - Preserves spatial relationships with
overlapsannotations for carotid arteries
