Synonyms supraspinatus tendon
Definition "The tendon of the [supraspinatus] muscle extends laterally, passing under the acromion process and over the head of the humerus, blending into the glenohumeral joint capsule to insert onto the superior facet of the greater tuberosity of the humerus." [PMID: 30725887]
Parent term
tendon UBERON:0000043 subclass of supraspinatus muscle UBERON:0002383 sub class of part of RO some gluteus medius or maybe attached to RO some supraspinatus
Copied note from NTR 3209: Note that some tendons use part of and some use attached to. I'm not sure which applies. The most recent tendon addition to uberon (tendon of semitendinosus UBERON:8480009) uses attached to with Equivalent to "tendon and attached to RO some semintendinosus". I see that muscle insertion is also a relationship option, but don't see it being used for the newest tendons.
