Two 'anatomical entity' in Uberon

Open zhengj2007 opened this issue 3 years ago • 9 comments

Uberon term Two term in UBERON, UBERON_0001062 and CARO_0000000 with same label 'anatomical entity'

Bug description Are these terms same? If same, why do they have different super classes? If they are not equivalent, can they have different labels with definitions? So, we know which term we should use.

@cmungall assigning to you as it relates to the other tickets, also added to agenda. PS I'm guessing using the UBERON term is more straightforward, but defs need more clarity on this.

Related to this, are all CARO_XXXXXXX terms being phased out in UBERON? Is there a timeline for that?

Is it that GO also would need to switch to Uberon anatomical entity?

Seems that http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/CARO_0000000 anatomical entity is still in UBERON in OLS. Maybe it has been removed upstream in draft though?
