Open lubianat opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

Note - please check that the term does not already exist (check OLS: https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ols/ontologies/cl)

Preferred term label:

Axl+ dendritic cell, human

Synonyms Axl+ DC, AS DC

Definition (free text, please give PubMed ID in format PMID:XXXXXX) A dendritic cell characterized by the expression of AXL, and SIGLEC6 genes. PMID:28428369 PMID:29221729 PMID:31156637

Parent cell type term (check the hierarchy here https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ols/ontologies/cl): http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/CL_0001056

What is the anatomical structure that the cell is a part of? Please check Uberon: https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ols/ontologies/uberon Immune System -> UBERON:0002405

Your nano-attribution (ORCID) 0000-0003-2473-2313

Any additional notes or concerns It is not clear on the literature if the parent class would be a plasmacytoid dendritic cell, a myeloid dendritic cells, or neither.

Obs: is taxon constraint inherited from parent class?

Anna Maria Masci is currently working with me on a dendritic cell revision. I am waiting for her feedback (don't know her Github handle at the moment); I sent her an email with this issue URL.

AS DCs in addition to AXL express all thee markers of pDC but they have the ability to differentiate into cDC2 so I am not sure if needs to be consider an intermediate state of the DC precursor in Human even if has been shown they functionality.

@masciam, thanks! It seems indeed like an open question how it fits in the general context of DCs.

Hello, This issue seems closed, but I cannot find this term in Cell Ontology. What is the current status of this term? Thanks!

Closing this ticket since it appears to be resolved by PR #1687.
