CD3+ CD4+ CD45RA- CXCR5+ alpha-beta T cells in the blood comprise the circulating memory compartment of T follicular helper cells. They share functional properties with Tfh cells in the germinal center and have been shown to efficiently induce B cell activation in vitro.
