Update mechanism broken
The Preferences > udpate does not seem to work properly. I just noticed that it will always show "Installed version (x.x.x), is the latest." This happens on version 2.2.0 as well as 2.3.0. Neither of these versions shows the correct message: currently latest version is 2.3.1. Was stuck on 2.2.0 since months...
I just noticed the same with 2.3.1 not showing 2.3.2 as available.
PSA: I'm using distill.io to monitor the Lulu releases page for changes to get a heads up on new releases.
Whoops, same here. Still on 1.2.3, lol! I noticed nothing ever changed in the UI, but I never bothered to check the site or repo to see the latest version manually.

Unfortunately this seems to have been open for ages with no progress so let's hope we can just close it and raise another to get this resolved.

Double PSA: Since releases are published on Github, a built-in way would just be to enable Github email notifications for releases on this repository.
Or you can use something like https://www.corecode.io/macupdater/ to monitor missed updates ... personally I don't trust closed source software to update my software for me, but the notifications are still handy ....
