Communication to WiFi printer not possible

Open NokGen opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

When running LuLu, print jobs disappear from the queue after trying to look up the printer. Rules for PrinterProxy are set to 'allow.' Communication via the scan software also fails at app startup when trying to establish a connection to the printer. When disabling LuLu, everything works just fine. I've found no rule prohibiting the computer from connecting to the printer as all rules relating to 'Epson' or 'print' are set to 'allow.' I'm running LuLu 2.1.0 on macOS 11.4, printer is an Epson XP-5105, scan software is Epson Scan 2.

Issue displayed by macOS:

  • Printer is not responding.
  • The printer is unreachable at this time.

Solution: disable LuLu entirely. . The printer magically prints normally. . Re-eneable LuLu. . . LuLu 2.3.1 macOS 10.15.7 Epson drivers and AirPrint alike

EDIT: Unable to trace process responsible for such behaviour.

EDIT 2: Scanner works normally - no need to disable LuLu.
