@axelonet this isn't as good of a solution as a native Android application but I just use a Python program that sends out a message via Slack.

In DND you can set it to run a custom script whenever your laptop opens/closes and I just supply the path to my executable Python program.

You could probably find a program that's better than my little Python snippet but for now it works for me.
