NTR: transcriptome assembly

Open TrisSN opened this issue 6 years ago • 3 comments

Currently working on a manuscript for which this term would be perfect. It exists in The Software Ontology (link in OLS below). Perhaps the format should be transcriptome assembly assay?

NTR: transcriptome assembly Definition: Infer a transcriptome sequence by analysis of short sequence reads. [Source: The Software Ontology (SWO): https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ols/ontologies/swo/terms?iri=http%3A%2F%2Fedamontology.org%2Foperation_3258] Subclass_of: sequence assembly process

Hi @TrisSN . Sorry, I haven't implemented anything for this term yet. It does have a high priority on my todo list.

We discussed some of your more recent terms in our conference call yesterday. Feel free to join the call any time you want to clarify anything or give a nudge. http://obi-ontology.org/#contact-us

For example, most of us liked your idea for a citizen science term https://github.com/obi-ontology/obi/issues/962 , but felt that citizen participation is independent of or orthogonal to the study design.

Are you still waiting for this term? I could probably create it early next week, but I'll have to prioritize relative to any other molecular sequencing terms you've requested.

Hi. There's no rush on it, but it'll be useful in general to us in future. With all the terms I request, there's no way they can be created in time for the job that highlights the need for them, so they are all for possible future use. Thanks,
