Deprecate 'material sample role' and related terms

specimen role: a role borne by a material entity that is gained during a specimen creation process and that can be realized by use of the specimen in an investigation

material sample role (subclass of specimen role): A material sample role is a specimen role borne by a material entity that is the output of a material sampling process.

material sampling process (subclass of specimen creation): A specimen gathering process with the objective to obtain a specimen that is representative of the input material entity

Based on the textual definition, the difference between 'material sample role' and 'specimen role' is that 'material sample role' is representative of the input material entity. Questions: 1). Is any specimen not representative of the input material? (looks like NO) Check the current subclass of 'specimen', you can say it is a material sample in some sense. 2). What process is 'material sampling process'? Current no any process classified under it. After specimen was collected, can I call it a sample material after aliquoting? (No sure) 3). Do we gain anything with these concepts? (looks like NO)

Related terms: sample from organism equivalent classes: ('has role' some 'material sample role') and (is_specified_output_of some 'collecting specimen from organism') restrictions: 'derives from' some 'gross anatomical part'

OBI also have 'tissue specimen': equivalent classes: ('has role' some 'specimen role') and ('derives from' some 'gross anatomical part') restrictions: material entity

After discussion, we proposed to deprecate 'material sample role', and 'sample from organism'. 'material sampling process' might be kept but need better defined.

It seems to me that this issue should be closed, as the current OBI (v2022-01-03) still uses the "material sample role" as it defines "material sample" as equivalent to 'material entity' and ('has role' some 'material sample role').
