I need to use a term for an instrument call xCELLigence electrical impedance monitoring system to visualize cell migration and morphology on the surface of electronic 96-well cell culture growth plates (Eplates). This platform allows for monitoring dynamic cellular responses to chemical exposures in real time, recorded as changes in cell adhesion and morphology at the electrode: solution interface measured automatically using electronic microsensors. Changes in electrical impedance can be monitored over time to help visualize dynamic responses as well as acute toxicity and cytotoxic effects, making this test platform an efficient high-throughput technology for in vitro investigation of potential xenobiotic bioactivity

Thanks for the request Anna Maria. We discussed in the OBI dev meeting and we think we should name this term " xCELLigence RTCA DP". Do you have any objections? We'll add a synonym with RTCA spelled out in addition to this label. It will be placed under cytometer (http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/OBI_0400137) .
