I guess it's firefox bug or something. Try disabling the hardware acceleration and see if it resolves the issue. Also, can you answer all of these?

  1. Operating system
  2. Firefox version
  3. GPU and its version ~~4. Does that issue happens every time you opened the extension?~~

Operating System: Windows 10 Home Version 21H1 Firefox Version: 90.0.2 (64 bit) Gpu: Msi Gtx 1060 (6gb) (driver version: GeForce Game Ready v. 471.11) Even disabling Hardware acceleration changed nothing :(

The latest GeForce Game Ready version is 471.41, so maybe try updating it. Also, does this issue happen on other extensions too?

updated to last version but didn't change anything, this issue happen only on ezpp (i also tried dark reader, premid and Ublock and they work fine), to me it seem like a firefox issue because yesterday i updated to latest version and i got this problem, but i'm not 100% sure

Can you do the following steps and see if the issue is resolved (even partially)?

  1. Open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox image
  2. Click Inspect on ezpp! section
  3. Click Disable Popup Auto-Hide image
  4. Go to any beatmap page and open ezpp!
  5. Click /popup.html on devtools/toolbox image
  6. Select the element shown in image, and add display: none; to .spinner rule image

Wanted to also say that I am having this exact same issue, shortly after updating to the latest version of Firefox. However, it seems to be triggered by anything, simply hovering or typing.

I'll see if reverting my firefox version fixes the issue.

Downgrading to version 89.0.2 seems to have fixed the issue for me, so that's another temporary solution.

I also tried the steps listed above and they did not work for me.

weatherman223 avatar Jul 25 '21 20:07 weatherman223

Can you try a nightly build of Firefox and see if it fixes the issue? Also, please answer all of these (if that didn't fix the issue)

  1. Operating system
  2. GPU and its version
  3. about:support

If the nightly build doesn't fix the issue, try setting gfx.webrender.compositor to false in about:config.

acrylic-style avatar Jul 26 '21 11:07 acrylic-style

Just writing here to say that the issue was solved for me by using firefox nightly.

dktharrop avatar Jul 27 '21 02:07 dktharrop

can confirm firefox nightly fixes the issue for me as well.

weatherman223 avatar Jul 27 '21 03:07 weatherman223

Let's leave this issue open until Mozilla fixes it on the release (non-nightly) build.

I am also having this issue, however, after doing some investigating, it appears as though I am getting this error: image Not sure if it has anything to do with it, but we'll find out.
