Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. The icon view takes up too much space on the screen and does not permit submenus for saved (starred) items

Describe the solution you'd like A dropdown list view that lists a certain number of previously copied items and also allows for submenus for saved (starred) items.

For example, you might have an item called Address. When you click on Address, it would open up a submenu of actual saved items such as your first name, last name, street address, city, state/province, and postal code (not those strings but actual data relevant to your address). As it is all the saved items are in those huge icons and you can only see a few of them and they are not grouped together in any way.

Describe alternatives you've considered On MacOS there is a program called Clipy that does exactly what I would like to see but it has no Linux version.

Also you should be aware that pasting directly into an application does not appear to work in Ubuntu 24.04, but I have yet to find ANY clipboard application where that works. And sometimes you click on an item and then manually paste it you get strange characters around the item, such as "^[[200~Pasted Text~^C", especially when pasting into a terminal window.
