Thanks @elad-bar! I setup a local HA development environment only with this custom component to see if I can debug this further. Will let you know of other findings.

@felipecrs I have VTO2211G. According to [this](https://dahuawiki.com/Video_Intercom/Products/DHI-VTO2211G-WP) I should have a newer FW update, trying to update now.
