Hey @amzn-tommy , any updates on this PR?
I'd suggest creating an Authoring wrinkle masks section, and moving File extension and File properties under it.
Having a Setting up wrinkle masks and an Authoring wrinkle masks section are good key sections to help direct users.
Everything else looks good!
Yes, I'm working on that split between authoring and enabling in O3DE, which you suggested a while back. I'm also going to create GHI's for the known issues, then go back over your feedback from the previous PR to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks. I will ping you again when I'm done with that update.
Finally got to circle back to this. I think the first and third point you made go hand in hand. The best way to explain what a wrinkle mask is would be with an image. Unfortunately, I'm not an artist so I can't really make anything that illustrates the point, and the content I worked with originally belongs to Apocalypse, not O3DE, so I can't really use that either. I will see if I can find any examples that are open source that I can include.
To your second point, no, there are no more steps in O3DE. Once the files are in the folder in the correct structure, they will be applied automatically when the actor animates.
@amzn-tommy Is this still a viable thing to add? If so, what still needs done, other than images, to get it over the finish line?
Also, I didn't see a response to @chanmosq's suggestion about using the term "wrinkle maps" instead of "wrinkle masks." Can you elaborate a bit for me on your word selection there?
Closing as stale, unless @HogJonny-AMZN and/or @amzn-tommy can respond for any of it.
