Mouse UI should remember the line mode - ergonomics

Currently if I want to change tools using the mouse I need to click twice - one for the tool and one for the line mode.

I think the line mode should either be remembered from the previous use (per tool) - or a completely separate menu (global) which is located beside the tools.
