Programmatically set desired response for automated testing?

It seems like a user has to manually configure the separate app to test different flows. Is it possible to set the desired value programmatically in the context of an automated test?

Currently no. To better mimic a real end to end test the seperate app is needed. You can look into ui Automator to maybe control that other app. Open to other suggestions
