Markdown editor not sending properly formatted text

Hi,

I downloaded this markdown editor to write my emails in markdown and my expectation was for it to send what I see. Here is an example of an email it sends out after writing it with this editor: screenshot 2017-02-16 10 26 01 Is this a known issue?

Hi,

I had the same issue – I forked the repo and seem to have come up with a (probably hacky) solution (I just looked at various other plugins/examples and did some trial-and-error). You can try it out at Morsby/Nylas-Mail-Markdown.

I'm having the same issue. Everything looks good in the editor/preview, but the formatting is lost when sent...

Just want to add, i actually was ready to use Nylas mail 100% until this. I switched back to Airmail (has pretty good markdown support) because once you write your emails in Markdown it's hard to go back. I have't had a chance to try @Morsby 's fork yet, will give it a try and report if there's any issues :)
