No built-in features when using markdown composer

When using the markdown composer to write e-mails, features like the built-in spellchecker, the right-click menu and the quick-fill feature of composer templates seem to be disabled.

It would be nice if the markdown composer could be made compatible with the functionality of the regular editor.
