I'm experiencing the same problem in PHP projects. The plugin works great in my JS projects.

In my case it would be sufficient with an option to exclude certain file types (i.e. *.php)

PhpStorm 2022.3.3 Build #PS-223.8836.42, built on March 10, 2023 Plugin version 2.8.4
