I think implementing E2EE as Matrix did is the best solution. It's secure but not too much of a pain as you can also use QR signing in/verifying to unlock...
"hubristic" is another missing word as well.

@hughsie Huh, that isn't normal usually; Rust is pretty fast and can provide super small binary sizes. Maybe ask people in the Rust community to help in optimization?
This would be def nice to see, as well as playback scrubbing if possible.
