Hey @oesteban, if you/your team still has a need for reading EyeLink files, I'm starting a repo here:

Most of the EDF reading code was originally written by a few MNE-Python devs many years ago. I'm sure there are corners to be buffed but the idea is to hopefully provide folks with an (active) alternative to this python package, where others can contribute.

some news: I took over maintenance from Niklas/Niel and I will update the package and merge the pulls request in the next weeks.
