Opening Stepsy from widget falls back to "Last 7 days" overview
Hello,
First of all, just wanted to express my thanks for this neat little app! It keeps everything simple, straightforward and it's been stable and easy-to-use. Hope that it helps me keep an habit of walking longer distances, more regularly in the future. :)
I'm creating this issue to report an inconsistent behaviour that I've come across with the widget. It really isn't a major drawback or anything but I haven't seen any other issue mention it yet. I remain available to discuss this potential bug and am willing to provide more informations/details that could help resolve it, if this behaviour is classified as such.
Current behaviour (Steps to reproduce)
- Make sure to have the widget placed somewhere on the home screen.
- Open Stepsy by any way. Set the 7-day chart to the "Week XX" view. It is Week 45 as of time of writing this issue.
- Leave the app (without fully closing it) and return to the home screen.
- Tap on the widget once to open Stepsy again.
- Notice that the chart view changes automatically to "Past 7 days" instead of staying on the previously chosen "Week XX" view.
Expected behaviour
By reproducing the above steps with the difference that one should use the app icon/a screen shortcut on Step 3., you will notice that the chosen chart view is remembered and unchanged upon accessing Stepsy again. This makes me think that the widget wasn't intended to switch away from the user's preferred view when accessing the app through it.
