adm1 outdated and missing subdivisions for the Bahamas

ISO 3166 fixed the problem that a previous change had left New Providence (ISO 3166-2 code BS-NP) without a code; the BS-NP code is now assigned to New Providence. (ne_10m_admin_1_states_provinces currently does not assign a valid value to the region adm1_code=BHS-5009.)

The ne_10m_admin_1_states_provinces data set is missing 2 other subdivisions of the Bahamas:

  • ISO 3166-2 BS-GC Grand Cay
  • ISO 3166-2 BS-HT Hope Town It's possible that those two are being tossed out due to small size.
