Projection error in western South America
Overlaying the NE-50m_admin_0_countries layer from GPKG in QGIS on various web mapping layers shows over 4 km of divergence. The border of Peru, Chile, and Bolivia shows that the Natural Earth layer is off to the west. The underlying layers (Quickmapservices, ESRI, OSM, and Google) are in EPSG 3857 are in agreement
Panning around I haven't noticed this issue in other geographical regions it seems especially prevalent in Chile. I wonder if your projection is optimized for an area further south in Chile as it's an exceptionally long country.
GADM hosted at UC Davis doesn't seem to have this offset problem.
