Ubuntu 15.10 support

Open nishanthkarthik opened this issue 10 years ago • 13 comments

I get this error on Ubuntu 15.10

W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/nvbn-rm/ppa/ubuntu/dists/wily/main/binary-amd64/Packages: 404 Not Found

I guess this ppa wasn't updated for wily.

Well, it hasn't been working well for me for quite a while but, I had the same problem on update. I just use the evernote website for the time being.

It works. You have to install this before:(http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/p/python-oauth2/python-oauth2_1.5.211-2ubuntu3_all.deb - http://ubuntu.cs.utah.edu/ubuntu/pool/universe/u/unity-singlet/python-unity-singlet_0.2.2-0ubuntu1_all.deb ), then you can install through the PPA (changing dists from wily to vivid). You could like also everpad scope (https://github.com/SlavikZ/unity-scope-everpad). :+1:

For 16.04, you have to install this before: (http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/p/python-oauth2/python-oauth2_1.5.211-2ubuntu3_all.deb - http://ubuntu.cs.utah.edu/ubuntu/pool/universe/u/unity-singlet/python-unity-singlet_0.2.2-0ubuntu1_all.deb - http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/all/python-support/download ), then you can install through the PPA (changing dists from xenial to vivid)! ;)

Trying to install it on 16.04 as well, @weep33 how do you change distro from xenial to vivid?

SnowRipple avatar May 12 '16 09:05 SnowRipple

@calcerrada It Works great to me, you have to install the packages through the terminal or gdebi, not ubuntu software. @SnowRipple You can change the distro on Software and Updates/other software, there search nvbn-rm/ppa and change the name .
