For now there is nothing we can do here as it is impossible to reproduce. However, if it occurs again, please set your NVDA log level to debug, enable UIA debug logging in NVDA's advanced settings, reproduce the issue, provide the log here or privately, and reopen the issue.

@michaelDCurran I really didn't find a stable way to reproduce it, but I captured the logs as you asked. The problem occurs when I try to open the NVDA config folder, but this should not be the way to reproduce it stably. log_WithUIAAndMSAA.txt

@cary-rowen are you still having this issue in NVDA 2023.3?

Adriani90 avatar Nov 18 '23 00:11 Adriani90

Or even better, can you test with the last NVDA alpha?

Which PR do you think would help fix this issue?

Oh there could be alot since this issue has been opened, or Windows updates or whatever. In case this is not an issue anymore, it makes sense to close it.

Yes, as @beqabeqa473 said, this is still a reproducible issue. But it's hard to give clear steps.

cary-rowen avatar Nov 18 '23 11:11 cary-rowen

@beqabeqa473, @cary-rowen which pane / view are you using in Windows Explorer? Do you have navigation pane and / or the preview pane enabled or disabled? Is the details window enabled or disabled?

Adriani90 avatar Feb 22 '24 15:02 Adriani90

Preview pane not enabled, details enabled. But I don't think that's relevant, sometimes I also use list views. Thanks.
