Seems like an upstream issue, it is also broken in the RekaUI playground.

Turns out the index was incorrect in the docs, you should use item-${index}. I've updated the docs in https://github.com/nuxt/ui/commit/c16ee335550f7bcccacfb817a27677ac793adfe6#diff-b5eef41212e8f19645f5ed0b69c7344cd9e615a04ca1ff65c9def5325a80b6bc
